As rough as it was last night, I enjoyed this little ad by Monster.

check your next pair of levi’s for “a care tag for our planet” with some practical tips on how to reduce the climate/environmental impact of caring for your jeans. these tags will also have a message that encourages consumers to donate their unwanted clothing.
the idea was created by ddbo west, goodwill of san francisco’s pro bono agency, after goodwill estimated that about 23.8 billion pounds of clothing ended up in US landfills each year. and on a side note: it’s really refreshing to hear that a huge agency like ddbo is doing pro bono work. that makes all of this soo much better, especially when you think about just how extensive this initiative really is.
something you might not have already known is why levi strauss & co. was the prefect fit for all of this. the truth is the company has been all about sustainability for over 20 year, constantly coming up with ways to reduce the environmental impact of its product and has studied every stage in the life cycle of a typical pair of 501 jeans. wow. learn something new every day i suppose.
i like what i’m seeing.

I already own a pair of Levi’s that’s partly composed of recycled cotton, but I had no idea that they strived that hard to be sustainable. I also just Googled Goodwill and found out that they’re funded by their thrift stores? They actually provide job training and employment placement services. Whoops. Now they need an advertising campaign.

Oh, Brits. Can you do no wrong? How are you so witty?

A stop-motion animation for the BBC Knowledge. This was shot in-camera and in sequence from beginning to end.

I didn’t like the beginning (especially the awkward “shiny new shoes” segment), but it got funnier, as it progressed.

Are you a fan?

delbertshoopman:

BIG FAN OF THIS COMMERCIAL. Well played King James… Nice work as always Nike

Nike/LeBron James commercial: “Rise”

This made me not dislike LeBron. At least until they play the Bulls, that is. (via: smileifyourewinning)

I never would’ve thought to collaborate with Bing on a scavenger hunt based off of a rapper’s memoir.

To promote Jay-Z’s soon-to-be released (11/16/10) memoir, “Decoded,” Droga5 has devised an incredible campaign.
